ANTONIA MAYMÓN – Anarchist, Teacher, Natural-, edited by Virus and written by Carmen Agulló Diaz and Pilar Molina Beneyto.

Promoter of the anarchist ideal since the first decade of the 20th century, Antonia Maymon (Madrid, 1881 – Beniaján, 1959) dedicated his life to the creation of rationalist schools in different places of the Spanish State, and he put all his energy in practicing a teaching according to his thoughts and in an intense journalistic work for a multitude of libertarian publications. This research offers us a journey through the life of this fervent naturist, consistent libertarian teacher and syndicalist and a selection of her texts, a faithful reflection of the debates that took place within the libertarian movement during the first half of the last century. In those years, that being a woman and independent was almost a heresy, Antonia Maymón chose to live as a fighter free of thought and action. Witness of a dizzying stage in our history and a woman ahead of her time, Maymón was singled out, persecuted, banished, prosecuted and jailed. AND, despite exiles and prison, He never abandoned his rebellion or his desire to accompany the youngest in their formation as free and autonomous people.
