CGT Catalunya denounces to the Labor Inspectorate the granting of permanent disability to city guards convicted of torture

The CGT of Catalonia will present two complaints tomorrow Friday against the granting of permanent disability to city guards Bakari Samyang Davila and Víctor Bayona Viedma before the Labor Inspectorate, at the National Institute of Social Security and the Catalan Institute of Medical Evaluations (ICAM).

Both officers are convicted of perjury and torture of the citizen of Trinidad and Tobago Yuri Jardine and involved in the events of the 4F as alleged responsible for the same serious crimes.

We demand the revocation of arbitrary concessions, simultaneous and which coincide in time with the torturers entering prison.

From the CGT of Catalonia we consider that impunity makes it easier for the same behaviors to be repeated in the future. Let's remember how 4 Police officers convicted of torture were pardoned twice by the Spanish government just recently 2 years and age.

Let's not forget them either 4 years completed by those in charge of the GAL, of the 75 of conviction for torture and murder. All of them, It is absolutely essential to put an end to the permanent cuts applied by the PP government to public services and education., receiving lifetime pensions paid by citizens.

We denounce immoral practices on aberrant behavior that seek only to guarantee the loyalty of police forces to political power, sending a very dangerous message, so no matter what you do you will receive the appropriate help.

The case is, Besides, a mockery for the thousands of workers who suffer from chronic diseases and who are ignored again and again by the same ICAM that rewards torturers.

The CGT will do everything possible to fight all impunity and will continue to fight injustices in the workplace and on the streets with the utmost determination that the times we live in demand.
