Canovelles City Council has recently announced the suspension of the weekly Sunday market.

The argument has been the "insecurity" produced by the volume of "illegal" stallholders.

The populist MEASURE, apart from satisfying the superficial emotions of right-wing xenophobes, it doesn't even consider the deep roots of the problem: POVERTY [and precisely the town of Canovelles has been a victim since the 1950s…].

Apart from ceasing to provide an ON-SITE food and clothing service at popular prices to the whole region and to all the people who do not want to pass through the sieve of theAmazonization / uberization i l'atur, depersonalization, labor exploitation and pollution that comes with the post-capitalist trade model.

Apart from leaving regular stallholders without income, which are not precisely capitalist and which mostly function through precarious family cooperatives to survive, very close to the marges.

The measure leaves without the last resort people who are not allowed to work decently and who find in the "unregulated" sale of products that LEGIT BUSINESSMEN falsify in order to enrich themselves without limits, the last link to earn an honest living, before stealing.

We often find these people ultra-exploited in infected workshops of the "external subcontract" that brings parts to our company, or picking strawberries that four chavos in Huelva and living in shacks.

They "steal our jobs" because they work for less money, or is it precisely the LEGAL DEPERSONALIZATION that turns them into the fragile toy tool for employers to lower our wages and working conditions? If they were considered PEOPLE (that they are, just like us) legally legal, they would have the same conditions and the "bosses" would not have this tool to weaken our labor rights. I no, they wouldn't compete with us. The only "competition" [rather theft] the employer does it for us. Look up in the dictionary surplus value or capital gain (in Marxist terms).

As we all know, losing our job throws us into states of helplessness and psychological collapse. Who among us would not steal or kill to feed their children?

For those who come with the chant of "those at home first", we will answer them that "First the worthy people (those of the People), then the squirrels and the businessmen, who are our real thieves and enemies".

Again we remember that our capitalist reality began more than 500 years with the conquest, colonization, exploitation, looting of the distant lands where the ancestors of those whom some now call "illegal immigrants" lived peacefully: america, Africa, asia, Oceania. And it still continues (googlegeu "minerals they sang", "child exploitation at Inditex or Mango" for example).

The Gross Domestic Product would be needed (GDP) durant 1.000 years of all the Western States participating in the colonial processes to "compensate or restore" the harm caused to the colonized territories and societies. DON'T FORGET that we may be in DEBT [Not us as citizens, but yes our States]. Spain participated fully in this process.

The populist decision of the Canovelles City Council [that it is not a "simple defenseless City Council" but is part of the institutional and political framework of the State] in any case, it will only change "the problem" of the town [very unsupportive action and even less "patriotic"]. And maybe it will be in your town.

The town of Canovelles, like many others of rapid growth through economic and spatial segregation with immigration [consequence of caciques in the Andalusian countryside, Extremadura…] in industrial areas of the years 1950 They have a structural problem:

POVERTY AND CONCENTRATION BY SPATIAL SEGREGATION OF THE SAME.

THE PEOPLE OF THE PLANET HAVE A CONSEQUENTIAL PROBLEM FROM THE PAST AND PRESENT COLONIZATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PEOPLE FROM DISTANT LANDS BY THE BUSINESSMEN AND POLITICIANS OF OUR STATES.

"THERE" IS MISERABLE, HUNGER AND "HERE" COVIVAL PROBLEMS.

Complex problems can only be solved with sound and structural solutions.

Take the last resort and at the same time refuge of dignity to people at the limit of subsistence, it will throw them without remedy to death by starvation or to crime. IT IS PUBLIC DOMAIN that not dedicating Legal and Public resources to incorporate these people into the "normality" of our lives through their legalization and social training as workers is synonymous with pouring them into crime. They know from the Power. But too often it is preferable not to PREVENTIVELY dedicate these resources from OUR TAXES and then spend them anyway, AS A CONSEQUENCE of his political negligence, in repressive police and de-collapse the judicial system. Call·chain, that yes, to ORDER through the emotionality of supposed NATIONAL PURITY.

Gentlemen of Canovelles City Council: Don't close the Sunday market.

Political gentlemen of the Parliaments: Legalize and DIGNIFY these PEOPLE, as your Universal Declaration of Human Rights says.

Gentlemen Politicians of the Parliaments: Bring a proposal from the Spanish State to the UN to rebuild [with the corresponding respect for the cultural identity that has not already been exterminated] the material and economic structure and autonomy of those societies until no one wants to leave them, except for tourism. Yes, the UN doesn't care about us, unilaterally dignify and clean up the past responsibilities of the Spanish State.

Remember that we are talking about PEOPLE!

Health and Dignity,

The Regional Committee of the Eastern Vallès
