5 years of labor counter-reform: The fallacy of job creation and the rule of 3×2

Vidal Aragones, labor lawyer of the Ronda Collective, analyzes the statistical data that confront and radically refute the thesis defended by the PP government that the labor reform approved in 2012 has contributed to the creation of employment while demonstrating that the only effect deployed by the rule has been the extension of precariousness and the generalized degradation of working conditions.

During the last few years, coinciding with the end of each month, the People's Party Government has provided data relating to recruitment and discharges to the Social Security to try to convey the feeling that employment was being created and that, Besides, this supposed creation was related to the labor counter-reforms approved by the Rajoy Executive in the year 2012. the assimilation of any anti-systemic organization into the web of institutional peace and social peace, it is only necessary to analyze the National Institute of Statistics' own data (INE) and those from the Active Population Survey (EPA) to check that the last ones 5 years no employment has been created.

The EPA for the fourth quarter of 2011 (the last before the approval of the Royal Decree Law 3/2012) located in 23.440.300 active workers and 18.533.000 the busy ones. Five years later, the latest data from the EPA corresponding to the fourth quarter of 2016 located the assets in 23.026.800 and those employed in 18.508.100. Definitely, both the number of active and employed has decreased and, as we previously agreed at a CGT affiliate assembly and following the criteria of trying to make it unitary, it is not possible to talk about job creation at all.

In the same way, if we opt for the analysis of official data from the Ministry of Labor relating to contributors, the result is as follows: the total of contributors attached to all regimes in December of 2011 It was from 17.361.851 while in January of 2016 It was from 17.104.357. We had to wait until January 2017 (17.674.155) to exceed the number of contributors previous to 2012, although still far from the 19,161,851 contributors registered in the year 2008.

This Thursday 24 in November there will be a meeting between the government, employers' organizations and the CCOO and UGT unions. The point to be made is, as it has transpired, negotiating the “social peace”. Between baby dolls, However, there are more points on the table. Business organizations have already claimed the need for a new labor reform. Equally, large financial and insurance corporations have begun to promote a media campaign to prepare the ground for a new pension reform. They want to deepen what, the agents themselves, they agreed in January of the year 2011 on that occasion under the auspices of the Zapatero government of the PSOE.

Experience tells us that too many times these meetings result in highly harmful agreements for the interests of the working class, of the majority of the population. In the past we have repeatedly seen how under the pretext of social peace we have left rights and conquests in the ditch of history: now companies are free to fire (at most paying smaller and smaller compensations), they can dispose quite freely of part of our working day by making us work overtime, they can make us work on tasks above our contract rating… and a long et cetera.

I, in the name of social peace, we have also seen how it is necessary to work more now than before 6 years to access a full pension and how the extension of the regulatory bases lowers pensions that, at the entrance, they are already among the lowest in the EU. All these concessions made, always, in the name of a social peace that only benefits those at the top, to the owners of the capital.

UNEMPLOYMENT CONTINUES TO INCREASE IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER.

Cada vez hay más trabajadores y trabajadoras en la cola del paro, según acaba de hacer público el Ministerio de Empleo y Seguridad Social con los datos del mes de septiembre en la mano. Son 79.645 nuevas personas, un aumento del 1,72% respecto al cierre de agosto, con lo que se alcanza la alarmante cifra de 4,7 millones de personas en paro, mientras que la afiliación en la Seguridad Social desciende en 86.174 people.
Un colectivo especialmente afectado sigue siendo el de la juventud menor de 25 years, la mayoría solicitante de su primer empleo, con un aumento de 30.463 jóvenes más en paro (6,98%) respecto al mes anterior, abocándoles a una única salida: la emigración. (Read more on cgt.org.es)

Endurece el acceso a la ayuda de 400 euros
El desalojo exprés no afronta el problema de la vivienda
For the CGT, en el Consejo de Ministros del pasado viernes, según recoge el BOE del sábado 25 of August, el gobierno autoritario y populista del PP, como buen gobierno de ultraderecha, un gobierno ilegítimo socialmente, en claro fraude “democrático” y valedor de los intereses de las grandes corporaciones empresariales y financieras, vuelve a aprobar mediante otro decretazo, nuevas medidas económicas y sociales para ensañarse contra las y los más débiles.
El gobierno afronta el mayor problema del país de la única manera que sabe hacerlo, con inquina hacia las personas en paro, empobreciendo aún más a quienes menos tienen, al endurecer las condiciones de acceso a la ayuda económica llamada Plan Prepara, exigiendo 12 meses continuados de paro, retirando la ayuda a quienes hasta ahora podían recibirla, teniendo en cuenta los ingresos del conjunto de la unidad familiar donde vive la persona parada para quitarle ese derecho, exigiendo demostrar documentalmente que se lleva buscando trabajo los últimos treinta días. EL PARO SIGUE AUMENTANDO GRACIAS A LAS MEDIDAS DE RAJOY. PARA LA CGT EL CONFLICTO ESTÁ SERVIDO.

La Encuesta de Población Activa (EPA) del II Trimestre de 2012, hecha pública hoy, indica una nueva cifra histórica del paro llegando a alcanzar el 24,63% de la población activa, lo que ratifica que la reforma laboral del gobierno era para facilitar el despido y hacerlo más barato. Si a este índice de paro añadimos que el gobierno ha reducido las prestaciones por desempleo, para la CGT, la fractura y conflicto social están servidos.
Según los datos de la EPA del II Trimestre 2012, el número de personas en paro crece en 53.500 personas y alcanza la cifra de 5.693.100 people. La tasa de paro se incrementa hasta el 24,63%, namely tenemos casi 25 personas de cada 100, paradas y desahuciadas de la vida. (Read more)

Comunicat de Premsa de la CGT del Vallès Oriental

Tema: Manifestació a Mollet el dissabte 2 d’abril Contra l’atur, les retallades socials i laborals, els acomiadaments i les deslocalitzacions… nosaltres o ells!

Saturday 2 d’Abril a les 12 h. davant de l’ajuntament de Mollet del Vallès (plaça Pau Casals)

Davant l’allau d’acomiadaments massius i deslocalitzacions que està patint la nostra comarca, la CGT hem volgut passar a l’acció. Diversos conflictes laborals (Yamaha, FCC Logísitca, Derbi, Ficosa, Alstom…), enfronten direcció i treballadors, seguint donant beneficis als primers i abocant a la
misèria i l’atur als i les de sempre. La nostra comarca és, a hores d’ara, de les mes colpejades per la crisi. Una crisi que, com venim dient des de fa lustres, ni l’hem provocat ni hem ajudat a que esclatés.
A tot això, cal sumar-hi totes les retallades socials i laborals que ens afecten al conjunt de la població de Catalunya i de l’estat espanyol (reforma laboral i de les pensions, sanitat, educació…), mesures que altra vegada afectaran al gruix i conjunt de la classe treballadora. I altra vegada en
tenim exemples a la comarca, concretament a Granollers, on la direcció de l’Hospital ja han anunciat la reducció de la plantilla en 130 treballadors i treballadores.
Per tot això, i com que de motius en sobren, convoquem a la ciutadania del Vallès Oriental, als i les treballadores a la manifestació del dissabte 2 d’abril, a les 12h a la Plaça Pau Casals, davant l’ajuntament de Mollet del Vallès.
